Is ClubHouse fleeting?

I am from Europe…

I am from Europe…

Even worse: I live in Paris, France.

All things considered, it’s almost surreal that someone sent me an invite to access ClubHouse!

This being said, I’ve explored it a lot since I got in, and I have to say I still don’t know what to think?

Do we need to get in touch with people so badly these days, because of the pandemic and various lockdowns, that we attend these random live talks like if we were in the alley of CES or at an after party in Cannes Festival?

What about the real value it brings the community? For what I’ve heard, in France, people are mainly talking about the network itself: is CH useful? How do we monetize it? When will french speakers be allowed to create clubs? CH vs Podcasts…. not really specific topics or specialists in clearly labeled rooms. This is for the french-speaking part.

As for the US or UK rooms/clubs, that’s a little bit different because those precise labels are numerous! And that’s when it begins to hurt!

CH is really time consuming! I could really spend hours going from room to room, changing subjects and listening to various speakers from all over the world, learning a bit, but more often casually listening to a disorganized radio show… without any editorial line at all. And then again, how else could it be in rooms where you sometimes get 30 speakers?

I’ve been invited to talk a few times… I’ve never hosted a room myself yet, but I will.

I guess my question to you is: will this new killer-app survive the Covid-Vaccin? Or will it be part of this new world of tomorrow? I have not yet built strong beliefs regarding this… and yet I’m becoming a CH addict!

Please let me know what you think?
